Renova specialises in designing and delivering quality purpose-built community, social and health facilities, and we are recognised as a leader in providing environmentally friendly buildings.

Always better, always improving

"High quality in design and construction execution are fundamental principles in all Renova developments. Thanks to our tried and tested methods and a continuous improvement programme, we have successfully delivered a succession of excellent facilities. Moving forward, we're setting ourselves even higher quality targets for future projects. It's our vision to provide the best value primary care buildings in the country."

"Renova is also leading the way in environmentally friendly development. We work to reduce CO2 emissions on site from the outset, rather than simply introducing renewable energy sources into a building on a superficial basis. This process is proven to be more cost effective in the long run, and can reduce CO2 emissions significantly. Good design is key to developing low carbon, energy-efficient buildings, and Renova is adept in applying a range of building controls systems that manage lighting, heating and ventilation."

Principles into practice

"Our initial aim with any new project is to minimise the energy consumption of the building through its design. When we have achieved this, the next step is to look at how that building can benefit from renewable sources of energy. By incorporating renewable energy sources we can produce health care facilities with quantifiably lower emissions."

What the partners say

Nigel Griffiths, Managing Director of environmental consultants Tace, said:

"The main objective within these schemes is to target energy, combat climate change, reduce energy costs and meet new NHS energy targets. On every building we provide a sustainability report highlighting which renewable energy sources should be considered and these, where practical, are incorporated in to the design of each building. Through careful design not only do we meet these NHS energy targets, but we are consistently producing buildings that emit significantly lower emissions than recommended targets. All the LIFT buildings developed are monitored and over the first 12 months of operation have shown that they can reduce carbon and energy by upwards of 50%. Thus proving that the design concepts result in low carbon, energy efficient buildings."
