Reinvigorating Halewood
Renova has a solid track record in delivering projects that involve multiple stakeholders and partners.
Keeping the vision clear and achievable for Halewood
It's often the case that input from many different partners can have a conflicting influence on complex projects. That's where Renova makes all the difference. Our focus is on ensuring that all partners pull in the same direction; we know what it takes to achieve important milestones throughout the development and build process.
Effective partnership in practice
Halewood Health and Social Care Centre is a catalyst for the complete regeneration of Halewood town centre. As project manager, Renova is working with several key teams within Knowsley PCT and Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, along with associated steering and sub groups. This is clearly a very important development for Halewood, and we're deeply committed to making it happen in the most efficient way possible.
The Halewood Health and Social Care Centre will comprise several key community facilities:
- Three GP practices
- Pharmacy
- Primary Health Care services
- Community offices
- Citizens Advice Bureau and One Stop Shop
- Council services
- Post Office
- Library
What the partners say
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council Leader Ron Round has a clear vision of what can be achieved via an effective, well-managed partnership:
"The partnership approach will deliver unsurpassed benefits to the area and its people. This is a major initiative that will create a pleasant and exciting heart to Halewood."
Andy Lawman from Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council acknowledges that Renova's partnership expertise has been crucial in securing funds for the project:
"Around 40% of the council organisations in the new facility were eligible for European Regional Development funding, but we had a strict deadline to meet in order to qualify for the money. Basically, if we missed it we would have lost around three quarters of a million pounds, so reaching financial close in time was critical. The deadlines were very tight and Renova did a brilliant job of keeping the project on track. Without that drive and expertise, the project could potentially have been severely delayed."
"Renova has a clear process in place for ensuring all partners know what needs to be achieved and when. Halewood is being well managed and Renova are extremely supportive to the council. They have a great team in place."
Ian Davies, Senior Executive Director, for Knowsley PCT comments:
"We try to engage with the public from the outset on all projects, running focus groups from the planning stage right through to completion so that there is a real sense of community ownership in every project."
"Renova also uses a local supply chain, leaving a real economic legacy inside the community. The work Renova has done in the Knowsley borough really takes LIFT to another level."
